My name is Kate Macdonald: I'm an English lecturer, and a lifelong browser in second-hand bookshops. A sci-fi novel with a more feminist viewpoint that I and my housemate both really envoyed is John Varley's Titan. I remember the main character, a woman, as the one with most of the initiative in the story.
